Poor schooling conditions at the Bei Sha Wu Li Dian school in YangShuo.
Paragraph:
Hi, this is Gwen and I will be writing on behalf of my group members Amreen and Isabela. Our topic is Education for All and our narrowed topic is listed above. We want to help the school we're going to visit on China Alive in May, the Bei Sha Wu Li Dian school in YangShuo, and Ms. Muench has given our group permission to organize the activities we'll be doing to give students an opportunity to interact with each other. We believe that every child, no matter who they are or where they come from, has the right to a good education. Illiteracy is a growing issue and is something that may cause a lot of problems for people in finding jobs because they cannot read or write. Just because someone is poor and cannot afford schooling should not deprive them of a good education. In our world today, it is crucial for us to receive a good education and go to college in order to lead a successful future. We feel grateful to be able to go to such a high-standard school with a good reputation like SAS, and only wish that other children all around the world can be half as lucky as we are. When we look at videos or children living in third world countries, it makes us sad to think that we're in classroom with lights, computers and a heater system while some children don't even have standard things like desks, pencils and paper. Our plan is to raise enough money to buy basic school supplies for some of the children. We would like to donate textbooks, paper, pencils, erasers and other stationary. We will be organizing a a bake sale and making bracelets, and more information will be released on a later date. Please support us, and help make these children's lives better, easier, and happier.
